MU FRTI proudly acknowledges the partnership and support of various Missouri departments, agencies, organizations, and groups that enable no cost training opportunities through subsidized funding. In the following list of upcoming courses, the color coded acronym key identifies those courses that are being subsidized by a specific funding source. The color coding acronym key and associated agency/entity providing the funding/support is as follows.
State Fire Training Funding — Funding provided by the Division of Fire Safety (DFS) and the Missouri Fire Safety Education / Advisory Commission. State Funding sources include: DFS General Revenue (GR) Fire Training Fund and Fire Education Fund.
Chemical Emergency Preparedness Fund (CEPF) — Funding provided through the Division of Fire Safety and the Missouri Fire Safety Education/Advisory Commission.
State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA)
Missouri Emergency Response Commission (MERC)
National Fire Academy (NFA) — This free training opportunity is provided by the Missouri Division of Fire Safety – as Missouri’s NFA Point of Contact.
Highway Safety Grant — Missouri Department of Transportation Traffic and Highway Safety Division.
State Farm Insurance — Corporate gift donation to support training for fire and emergency service personnel.
Fire Fighters Association of Missouri (FFAM) — Funding provided through the through a federal grant for Volunteer Recruitment and Retention training: Fire Prevention & Safety Grant - U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency.
