Debbie Robison, MU Extension Associate Vice Provost, announced this morning that Paul Rainsberger will serve as interim director of University of Missouri Extension's Fire and Rescue Training Institute, beginning August 1.
Rainsberger has served as director of MU’s Labor Education program since 1997. He will continue in that position while serving as the interim director of the Fire and Rescue Training Institute. “Paul has demonstrated his strong administrative and leadership skills as director of the Labor Education program, and I appreciate his willingness to serve in the interim capacity for MU FRTI,” Robison said.
Gary Wilson is leaving his position as director of MU FRTI to accept a position as training chief for the Overland Park (KS) Fire Department.
“Gary has provided great vision and energy to MU’s Fire and Rescue Training program over the past few years and his leadership will be missed,” said Debbie Robison, MU Associate Vice Provost for Extension. “MU FRTI is a nationally recognized program, and we will search for a new director that has the talent and commitment to maintain that status.”
