Crews has an extensive training background in swift water rescue, structure collapse rescue, personal watercraft rescue, rope rescue, confined space ops, helicopter operations and the list goes on. He is a hazardous materials technician with the county haz mat team and is a rescue team manager for Missouri Task Force 1 FEMA US&R team.

Continuing Education Unit (CEU)

This workshop introduces fire, police, local and state emergency managers, and other emergency response personnel to the problems and solutions of water rescues encountered during seasonal and flash flooding. Topics include the most common and dangerous errors in river operations and how to mitigate them, specific pre-planning, resource evaluation, extended logistics, basic equipment needs, new techniques, training considerations, boat types and handling, use of air resources, and principal low to high risk rescue operations.
