MU FRTI is a recognized training provider by the State Emergency Management
Agency (SEMA) for NIMS ICS. This document is a helpful interpretation of what
training classes your agency will need to be NIMS compliant under the NIMS
Integration Center 2006 guidance document.

- NIMS ICS Equivalency Matrix
Recently the National Fire Academy and USFA put together an equivalency table
of courses that are offered through NFA or EMI and what ICS level they correspond
to. We have taken that same table and added courses that are offered exclusively
through MU FRTI, that also meet the intent of the NIC.

- Technical Rescue Certification Courses
The University of Missouri Fire and Rescue Training Institute has courses that meet NFPA 1006 Standard for Rescue Technican Professional Qualifications. This document outlines what Technical Rescue courses MU FRTI has available to offer, and which discipline of the standard they meet. It also describes what classes are required for certification with the Missouri Division of Fire Safety.
