Bruce Bjorge
Hazardous Materials Program Manager
Bruce Bjorge has been in the fire service since 1984 and has served in both the career and volunteer fire service. He began as a volunteer with the Verona Fire Department outside Madison Wisconsin, worked as a Fire Protection Specialist for the US Air Force and is a veteran of Operation Desert Shield/Storm, and has worked as a career firefighter in Springfield, MO.
Bruce has several specialties within the fire service including Aircraft Rescue Firefighting, Hazardous Materials Technician, Hazardous Materials Specialist/Transportation, MOEMT-B and is a Certified Hazardous Materials Practitioner.
He has been an adjunct instructor with MUFRTI since 2001 and currently serves as the Program Coordinator for Hazardous Materials. Bruce also is the Assistant Chief of the Training Division with the Western Taney County Fire Protection District in Branson, MO.
